Overview
This hydraulic plate compactor turns an excavator in the 2-4 ton class into a compaction tool for trenches, footings, pads and road base. Because the plate rides on the end of the boom, you can compact backfill in a trench or on a slope without putting a walk-behind machine or an operator down in the hole.
What it does

Tmg was great to deal with. I had the compactor delivered to the dealership where I got my excavator so they could set it up for me. The price is very good, 1/3 of the brand the dealership carried. Looks very solid and well built. Will be using it mostly for building fences.

Great overall compactor - Mike K.
Proving to be a reliable compactor for my landscaping projects. Its power and efficiency working with different materials were commendable. However I encountered some minor issues with the overload valve. It occasionally triggered prematurely (I think), causing brief interruptions during operation. Although it's a safety feature, a more refined sensitivity adjustment could prevent unnecessary disruptions. Have to play around and see if I’m doing something else to overload it. Shipping damage is covered when you report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photos. Defects are handled under the manufacturer's warranty. Add change-of-mind returns at checkout and you can send it back unused, in its original packaging, within 30 days of delivery. You pay the return freight.
