Overview
This compact wood chipper hangs on a tractor's three-point hitch and runs off the PTO, so you can clean up pruning, storm damage and brush piles without a separate engine. The discharge chute swivels to drop chips into a trailer or truck bed, and the chips make good mulch for garden beds and landscaping.
What it does
- Chips branches up to 4 in. in diameter.
- Runs off the PTO through an included shear pin PTO shaft.
- Drives a balanced steel flywheel in a hinged clamshell housing.
- Swivels the discharge chute to aim the chips.
- Runs on greaseable flanged bearings.

WOOD CHIPPER 4"
I THINK THE PTO SHAFT IS TO SHORT. I PULLED IT APART CONNECTING IT TO THE TRACTOR. IT WENT BACK TOGETHER AND I'M ONLY GUESSING BUT I THINK THERE MIGHT ONLY BE 4 INCHES OF THE JOIN. I ALSO PLUGGED THE SHUTE MANY TIMES WITH GREEN MATERIAL. I AM NOT AN ENGINEER BUT THE SHUTE COULD BE ANGLED MAYBE 45 DEGREES, AND NOT AS HIGH, HENCE LESS PLUGGING.

I’ve put enough branches through it so far, to make 6 trailer loads of chips. It jammed once and I had to open it up to clear it. That was very simple and easy to do (1 bolt).

I haven't used it a whole lot yet. However I did a small sample size with it and it looks like it will definitely do the the job. I was impressed with it. I will do most of my chipping in late fall and during winter, depending on the amount of snow of course.

great chipper for sub-compact tractors
This chipper pairs quite well with a compact tractor. I had one stall which was the result of a hard knot at the base of two branches getting wedged in sideways. Otherwise, I was shocked at the size of branches I was feeding in with my 26 HP Kubota being below the suggested minimum.
There were some minor paint scuffs from shipping but not in areas where you wouldn't be scratching up during use anyway. After checking all bolts for tightness and greasing it up, I had no problems racking up 25+ hours of trouble free chipping. No shortening of the PTO shaft was necessary.

Works excellent!
I now have a number of hours of chipping completed running it with a John Deere 1025R. The chipper works excellent, especially when the material stays around 3” diameter and less. At 3” or thicker hardwood a higher horsepower tractor is suggested as it can bog down the engine. This is obviously not the fault of the chipper. Soft wood up to 4” is no problem. Overall I am completely satisfied with the performance and would highly recommend this for anyone looking to clean up your yard brush.

Very happy with purchase.
Sturdy chipper with direct drive from PTO, meaning there's very little to break or fail.
The overall dimensions of this chipper is quite small, which makes it a good fit for my Kubota BX2680.
I have stalled the tractor a couple of times while feeding in freshly cut buckthorn, but only when it's right at the 4" size limit. It can chip 99% of what I'd want it to (anything above 4" becomes firewood), and a sub compact tractor like mine would be underpowered for a larger chipper anyway, so they're pretty much a prefect match.Niall · · TMG Industrial customer

chipper pto hp
have used this chipper for 6 years , worked great. does just fine with a 15 hp pto. have removed the circular collar for chute rotation, too much of a choke point for twigs to get stuck. chute can manually be removed quickly to unclog. tractor is off for this procedure. very good value compared to john deere or kubota pto chippers

Excellent quality for the price
Actually nothing to dislike. It does what they say it does. Chipped 4 inch branches of soft wood without any problem. Had it hooked up to a 30hp diesel tractor.
Chipping hard wood ( apple tree) at 2 inch and my 30hp was struggling but the chipper handled it fine
I also have a 21 hp Kubota and the chipper managed very well with soft wood up to 3 inches.

STURDY, COMPACT CHIPPER
Chipper arrived safely in 10 days in a sturdy (steel frame) crate. A 32 HP tractor provides very adequate power to operate this sturdy piece of equipment. From branches up to four inches in dia it easily produces small chips that are ideal for mulching or composting.

Great chipper
I have been using this chipper with my 27hp Kubota tractor, and it has been doing a great job. It is easy to unclog if small twigs jam up the chip chute. The only issue I have had is the that the chip chute will rotate on its own to a new direction.
