Overview
This vibratory plate compactor is the entry-level model for light-duty residential and commercial sites. It produces over 3400 lb of force from a 6.5 HP air-cooled gas engine at 3600 RPM, and its size lets you work around footings, forms, trenches and other tight spots without renting a machine.
What it does
- Compacts soil and gravel with over 3400 lb of force

- Cushions the 22" x 17" plate with rubber shock absorbers
- Protects the engine with an automatic low oil alert and a protective cage

Good vibes!
Very happy with this compactor. After experiencing the cost of repeatedly renting machines, the price point of this one made it an attractive option. If you’re going to rent more than a few weekends, it’s worth considering buying an entry level machine like this. Been pleasantly surprised by its performance, it’s exceeded my expectations. Doing perimeter drains, driveways and sidewalk prep as well as landscaping as part of a big home renovation, it’s been nice to have the machine on site. Small enough to store easily but big enough to do any job at a residential worksite. Have not required parts or after sale service. Highly recommend.
