Overview
This 73 in. flail mower runs off your tractor's PTO and adds a hydraulic side shift, so you can trim under trees, along fences and around obstacles without driving into them. The flail hammers handle rough, overgrown ground on farms, ranches, roadsides and building sites.

Just what I needed
The ordering process was painless even though I had it shipped to a freight depot in the city, it's pretty heavy in the crate so I'm glad I had pallet forks on my tractor (Kioti CK3520). Finding the correct oil required a bit of thought as it's not something I could find in an auto parts store. After adjusting the gearbox drive to be parallel to the main body it all went together easily and cuts and minces up an old overgrown pasture with no issue.

TMG-TFMS72, 73" Side Shift Offset Flail Mower
Mower was ordered from TMG online and arrived by truck within a few days. No issues. The mower shipped in a well constructed plywood box. It was well packed and without damage. Some assembly is required but it's not complex if you have basic mechanical skills and a few tools. Some subassemblies fairly heavy. I assembled it myself but some help would make it easier. Instructions were good, including warning to add gear oil to the gearbox. I had to replace hydraulic couplers to match old tractor - not a big deal. My 27 engine hp tractor is a bit underpowered and bogs a bit in deep grass or underbrush. For heavy mowing it needs to be operated in low range, first or second gear. A 60" might have been a better size but once the old grass and underbrush is clear, I can run in mid range and 1st or 2nd gear. I don't have a live PTO, so a bit of operating skill is required, i.e., planning for what is coming in front of you. So far, the flail mower has performed very well. Cut quality is as good as my old belly mount 60" finishing mower.

Great for farm use

Does the job well

It moves the mower to the side so you can trim under overhanging branches, along fence lines and around obstacles.
Large items ship by LTL freight on a pallet. It is delivered curbside. If you asked for a call-ahead in the cart, the carrier phones you first to book a window. If you have no forklift or dock, the driver uses a liftgate to lower the crate to the ground.
Shipping damage is covered when you report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photos. Defects are handled under the manufacturer's warranty. Add change-of-mind returns at checkout and you can send it back unused, in its original packaging, within 30 days of delivery. You pay the return freight.
