Overview
This ditch bank flail mower is made for the ground a standard mower cannot reach: ditches, road edges, stream banks and slopes. The hydraulic offset arm swings the head to the right and tilts it up or down, so you mow the bank while the tractor stays on level ground.

This is a great product and a mean machine
Everything on this machine has worked well starting with the shipping container. It was exactly as pictured so we were able to lift it out of the truck with the forks that we had on our tractor. In order to get the hydraulics to work with my JD 970 utility tractor I had to disconnect the front bucket hoses and add 7' 2" extension hoses to get things to the right place in the rear.
After sorting out left/right and up/down for the hydraulic hoses and my joy stick controller, things worked wonderfully.
This machine will eat up and digest almost anything you run over. The only thing that has slowed me down so far is a large piece of fire wood that I didn't see. It was too big and stalled the motor to the point where the belts slipped and smoked and broke the end off one of the flails. We didn't find a sheer bolt in the drive which would have been nice.

Exactly as hoped for
Very easy buying process. I called the sales team to make sure it would be compatible with my tractor and spoke with very helpful sales person. It turned up on time and well crated. Was missing one grease ****** but otherwise fine. As others have mentioned, make sure you grease everything and fill the gearbox with oil. The fill level hole for the gearbox take a bit of locating and the instruction manual isn't the best but the mower itself is very good, easy to operate and flips up nicely to inspect the hammers. No hesitation in recommending it.

Great mower
This mower works great behind my Kubota B3030. I use it to trim around the ditches on my property which it does very well. I should nickname it “the rock finder” though! It works great at pulverizing small brush, but inevitably finds the rocks along the way. Make sure you order some extra hammer blades. I broke a few on the first day, emailed TMG to order more and they were backordered. So I haven’t been able to use it since then. I’m a little disappointed that I’m still waiting to hear back.

Performs well
Searched for a long time to find an affordable ditch bank flail for a compact tractor. This one fits the bill. It's at the limit for a John Deere 2025r, not for power but rather weight. I put 2 inch spacers on the rear wheels to make sure I had a stable stance. This unit is quiet and does the job very well. A few things I recommend before you use it; 1) check the flail hammer bolts and be sure the nuts are tight, a few of mine were loose and ovalled the holes a little on the nut end., 2) Fill up that crank case before you put the u-joint guard on as the level plug in under it once it's installed. It takes a little more than 1 litre to fill, so buy two, 3) drill a hole in one of the wings on the u-joint guard and put a split ring in it for the chain on the shaft sleeve to attach - there is nothing on the unit to connect it to otherwise, 4) buy a few spare hammers as rocks are inevitable, and lastly, 5) this unit is NOT iMatch (or similar) compatible, so you'll need to remove that if you have one.
A few things I'd like TMG to improve are: longer stands, getting a fill level plug for the gearbox added to the opposite side of the box so you don't have to remove the u-joint guard every time you want to check the level, and making it iMatch compatible. Other than these small updates, it's a great product!
