Overview
This ditch bank flail mower is made for the ground a standard mower cannot reach: ditches, road edges, stream banks and slopes. The hydraulic offset arm swings the head to the right and tilts it up or down, so you mow the bank while the tractor stays on level ground.

Very happy
I am very happy with my TMG 65" flail mower. Assembly was straight forward. Based a you tube showing blade damage with roller in factory position, I immediately moved the roller down. The cut is still quite close, and I see no blade damage like the youtuber experienced. Cutter works well in grass and small brush, and I like how it mulches the grass compared to using a sickle bar mower. My hydraulic hook up is a bit unique. I use the one auxiliary hydraulic pair on back of tractor for offset cylinder. I hook the tilt cylinder to auxiliary hydraulic for my front end loader, with two modifications in the hydraulic hoses: first I installed a restricted orifice fitting in each hose, and second, I put a manual hydraulic shut off valve in the hose that raises the tilt. The restricted orifice slows the tilt function making it easier to control. When I get the tilt where I want it, I close the shutoff valve so the unit does not drift down, which unfortunately happens with my front end loader aux hydraulics. If your hydraulics hold the tilt without creep, the shutoff is not needed.

A great piece of Equipment
As the TMG unit is less expensive than a more traditional unit from a company such as say John Deere, I was anticipating a poorer quality piece of equipment, and I was completely wrong in that assumption. My first time out with the unit I put it through its paces and didn't go easy on it. As I was new to the unit I wasn't as aware of its track and had gone over both large stumps and rocks that are to be avoided usually if possible. Through the noise level when going over these objects drew attention to my mistake, careful inspection of the unit after showed no damage or noticeable wear as a result of this unintended use. I am very impressed by the build quality and durability and I intend to look at other implements TMG manufactures for my future requirements.

TMG-O70 Review
I operate my machine on a John Deere 3720 43hp cab tractor that has maximum hydraulic pressure of 2500 psi. Overall the machine generally works really well but I have encountered a few problems. The 1/2” body ISO-Pioneer style hydraulic couplings are not very good quality. I found they de-couple often. Pressure checked at the outlets shows 2000 psi. The hydraulic movement is extremely fast on both the side shift and tilt. I fitted hydraulic flow control valves to the outlets on the tractor which has helped considerably.The shift ram is definitely too light for that task and recently bent very severely. It only has 22mm shaft and probably needs at least a 25 or 30mm shaft. When I enquired about spare parts TMG advised that it would take at least 12weeks to get a replacement. I can machine up a replacement shaft myself which is what I will be doing. Also TMG don’t carry spare ram seals and I have yet to identify part numbers for the seal kits. At least if TMG could supply detailed part number for the seals I may be able to source them elsewhere. I would also like to see these machines manufactured so they swing to the left which would make them safer to use on Australian roads.

Gets the job done!
After purchasing a farm that was a bit run down, I needed to clear pasture area and trails. The TMF070 has everything I needed in it for a flail mower. It was a perfect size for my 5200 Kubota. The ability to offset the mower and have the 90 degree cutting capability saved alot of manual labour. Not only is the machine solid the price point was one of the best in the market. Good service; shipped on time with no missing pieces; assembly was straight forward; looks to be of decent quality.
Mower works well and does what it should.
The only issue I had was that my John Deere tractor has electric over hydraulic switches for the remotes so you can't feather the controls. This makes the lift and swing cylinders on the mower very fast-acting and jerky. We added adjustable needle valves at the remote hydraulic outlets to slow them down which solved the problem. Excellent attachment for a tractor. Works great for keeping brush from growing in on fields and trails. Leaves just a fine mulch behind, unless you get into larger brush. Then you'll have to make a couple passes. And yes, avoid rocks and any metal debris (ex. old fences). Shipping was fast, and assembly was easy.

Good mower
Mower seems to work very well. Slightly disappointed when I broke a shear pin and there is no indication of the bolt size in the manual or documentation anywhere. Had to use drill bits to get the size of the hole. Minor issue really, but a little frustrating. Will clog (see broke shear pin) in heavy gnarly grass, but makes short work of brush and weeds. Not sure what the claim that rear roller is on a top link for adjustment is about, there is no roller adjustment I can see.
